| I need to file a past years return, what do I do? |
|
First, gather all your tax documents from the prior year(s) and bring them in to one of our locations. The IRS accepts past returns up to 5 years, and will award a refund for up to 3 past years. Our locations have the tools to file any return for all of the past 5 years. There is typically a flat fee for past returns that are simple, the price will increase for more complex returns. If you don't have your documents, you should contact your former employer to get those copies. If that's not possible, don't worry; you can request copies of all tax documents filed on your behalf from the IRS at no charge. The IRS can provide Form W-2 information for up to 10 years. |
